Places
to Visit
For Eating
In or Out: There's the Patio Diner and Bar with a sun
terrace and the 'Cambrian Entertainment Room' where you can
relax in the evening with a drink at the Bar or enjoy the
music and dancing together with a visiting Cabaret (17th
July-27th August, 2004) in the Cambrian Showbar. In
Borth itself there are a couple of public houses, and
'Angelina's' which is a new coffee lounge and just round the
corner from the railway station. In Bow Street there is a very
nice pub/restaurant called the 'Welsh Black' where you can
enjoy good food freshly cooked whilst you wait (in summer it
is advisable to book a table). Places
of interest in the area include:
- The
Elan Valley Lakes
- The
Rheidol Narrow Gauge Steam Railway
- The
Devil's Bridge Waterfalls
- Forest
Walks and Nature Trails
- Pony
Trekking
- Fishing
- Golf
and Ten-Pin Bowling
- The
Llywernog Silver Lead Mines
- King
Arthur's Labyrinth which includes a boat ride along a
beautiful subterranean river to the great waterfall as you
hear enduring tales of King Arthur and his 'Knights of the
Round Table' and much much more.
- The
Centre for Alternative Technology Nr Machynlleth is also
very well worth paying a visit to.
